The court is the center of every basketball player’s universe, a place to lock in and turn up. Jordan Brand has connected athletes to the hardwood for more than three decades, through designs and innovations that advance the game and help players everywhere. The Air Jordan lineage continues with the debut of the Air Jordan XXXV, the fastest and most responsive game shoe yet.

The overall shoe design is based on a “center of gravity” concept, exemplified by top players who command the game. This informed the new, exposed Eclipse Plate 2.0 that extends beyond the midsole into the shoe’s upper. Designers also thought about the strength and stability of cabling systems, particularly on bridges, when using all-new stitching techniques for the Flightwire system.

The AJXXXV maintains the stripped-down agility of its predecessor, in addition to a Zoom Air bag in the forefoot and a herringbone traction pattern on the outsole. It adds a partially exposed Zoom Air bag in the heel, to help increase underfoot sensation and responsiveness. Continuing the tradition of OG references, the tongue has nods to the Air Jordan V, and materials include luxurious heritage leathers like nubuck and suede.

The “center of gravity” idea further comes to life in a connector piece on the midsole, a detail symbolizing Jordan Brand’s longtime bridging of performance and culture. This piece transforms with each subsequent colorway and has the Jumpman logo on it.

Here’s what the Jordan Brand family of athletes has to say about the new game shoe and its launch colorways.

The Air Jordan XXXV “Center of Gravity” colorway reflects the gravitational pull of talented players. It has an iridescent connector piece, “23” on the heel (referencing the AJV) and MJ stats on the tongue pulls.

My performance shoes need to be comfortable and fit my style of play, so I can be myself on the court. The biggest part, for me, is having my mind free while I’m out there, so I can just concentrate and focus on the game. You want to play in something that looks cool, and that people would want to wear — something that catches the eyes of fans across the world.

The first thing I noticed when I put it on the Air Jordan XXXV was how comfortable it is. I’ve played in the XXXIVs all year, and I love them. It’s been a year now since I joined the Jordan Brand family, and I’ve enjoyed every step of the way. Things like this XXXV release make it even more special. To represent Jordan while I’m playing is an opportunity that I’m grateful for, to be one of the faces and leaders of the next wave.

MJ and Jordan Brand changed the game. The shoes look good, feel good and influence how you feel — like Mike. There’s still something about the shoes, including this Air Jordan XXXV. That “something” continues to impact basketball culture, even when you just look at that Jumpman logo. When you see the Jumpman on a shoe, you know the culture and the history that comes with it.

I’m so grateful to be a part of this family. It’s so incredible how everybody takes care of one another and supports each other. You’re in elite company all the time. Because it’s such a tight-knit group of athletes, it’s different from any other brand. Being able to actually debut a shoe is something I can say and be proud of for the rest of my life. I debuted an Air Jordan on the court.

The Air Jordan XXXV “Warrior” colorway, designed for Rui Hachimura, has a red and black colorway that references Rui’s half-Japanese and half-Beninese background. It has Rui’s logo and signature on the tongue and sockliner and a striking gradient on the Eclipse Plate 2.0.

I move a lot, so I need my performance shoe to be comfortable and light. I’m so proud to be in the Jordan family. We are leaders in basketball culture. We are all connected to and supportive of one another. Having Air Jordan XXXIV PEs in my first year was big for me, and now I’m excited about the XXXV.

I love seeing my logo on the shoes. It means a lot. I grew up as a Black man in Japan and went through a lot of things. My logo is for my family and other mixed-race kids. I want to inspire those kids. That’s big for me.

The Air Jordan XXXV “Morpho” colorway, made for Guo Ailun, has his logo on the tongue, followed by a crackled, white leather upper, a blue gradient Eclipse Plate 2.0 and orange accents. For the fourth year in a row, Guo gets an exclusive game shoe release that highlights his talent and elusiveness on the court.

For me, the top design features of a performance basketball shoe are traction, lightweight design and soft cushioning. As a guard, I always need to rush and stop instantly, so traction is very important. The lightness of the shoes determines how I play on court. I also need to run and jump, so the cushioning is important for protecting my feet and preventing injury.

As a Jordan athlete, I have a responsibility to set a good example for young players. I am so grateful that, every year, I get my own Air Jordan PE with my personal logo and colors. The Air Jordan XXXV looks even better than the design sketches. My favorite quote is on the back of this “Morpho” colorway: “Where the heart goes, where the body goes.” When I was creating my first PE and communicating with the designer, he asked me whether I had a motto. I said my motto is to follow my heart in everything I do and to obey my inner feelings.

The Air Jordan XXXV “DNA” colorway, to be worn by Luka Dončić, celebrates Jordan Brand’s powerful identity and legacy. Refreshing the iconic AJV “Fire Red” color palette, the “DNA” colorway nods to the fiery fighter plane ethos and style of the ‘90s, paired with future innovation.

The Air Jordan XXXV “Bayou Boys” colorway continues Zion Williamson’s tradition of celebrating New Orleans. The sockliner and Eclipse Plate 2.0 have bayou-inspired textures, while vibrant, green accents pop on the midsole and collar. The standout detail is the bold, crackled leather on the upper.

The Air Jordan XXXV “Center of Gravity” colorway is available starting September 27 in China from and select retailers. It releases globally starting October 17 from SNKRS, and select retailers.
